Your Life doesn’t follow Script
This isn't a Movie
Many of us try to plan our lives ahead. I’m not saying this is wrong; it’s something people should consider, of course. But at the very least, live a little less in the future and, just for one moment, live in the present.
Sometimes, being unable to execute plans, expecting, or hoping can lead to disappointment. Why? Because reality didn’t follow your script. Who are you supposed to be? Take nothing personally; you are not that important in the first place.
If things didn't turn out the way you expected, that's because it wasn't meant for you yet. One day, you'll find yourself scratching your head because things turned out better than you imagined. One day, you’ll look back and be glad it didn’t go your way. Not because you were unlucky, but because it was necessary.
One day, those struggles and obstacles you faced along the way, the very reasons your master plan and goals were disrupted, will become your crowning glory. They will be the ones to truly define your humanness more than your titles or achievements.
You will be grateful that you had trouble once you come out to the other side, with all your experiences, and the mastery of yourself disguised as pain and heartbreak. All of them were your teachers, something only you could have found out yourself, and they taught you more than success ever could.
Because the discomfort you endured and the pain you went through made you, think more when the answers constantly escaped you, it made you more creative when all the options seemed exhausted. It forced you to grow up a little and squeeze greatness out of you, something you never knew about yourself.
At this point, you’ve turned every suffering into your weapons and all that you’ve learned into your ammo. Those trials proved to you that you can turn negatives into positives; that should be your superpower.
Any idiot can enjoy the positive things in their lives, but it is only a few that can take the negative and find something even more profound. - Brianna Wiest
