3 Quick Thoughts: Time vs. Our purpose and goals
January 20, 2026 – Caffeine Tuesdays
Every Tuesday, I pour a shot of clarity into your day. I call them Caffeine Tuesdays. 3 ideas, 3 insights, 3 quick thoughts. And this is for you.
Time is both the longest and shortest thing we have. - Marcus Aurelius
From birth to death, time is the one thing that never stops moving with you.
Marcus Aurelius reminds us that time becomes long or short depending on how consciously we live.
The length of our life might be fixed, but the depth is for us to uncover.
The future depends on what you do today. - Mahatma Gandhi
The future is a cumulative result of our present actions. The best time to act is now, today is the most powerful place for us to pursue whatever it is we are striving for.
The time that you’re alive is the only thing you truly possess, and you can give it away. You can give it away by working for other people. They will own your time, and you can be miserable. - Robert Greene
You can work for someone else and still feel powerful if you’re doing it intentionally. You’ll feel it and feel energized if the work aligns with your purpose and goals.
Money can be lost and regained. Status can rise and fall. Skills can be rebuilt. Time is the one thing you can never get back. You “give it away” when you stop choosing. When you drift, comply, or follow out of fear or convenience, you’re handing over the most valuable thing you have.
See you on Tuesday!
