3 Quick Thoughts: From Ryan Holiday on Perseverance and Will
November 11, 2025 – Caffeine Tuesdays
“You should never have to ask yourself, What am I supposed to do now? Because you know the Answer: Your Job. Do it Right and Do it Well.”
Whether that is to sweep floors or close multi-million-dollar deals, your job always demands the best from you. Do not let mediocrity set in, just because you think that the job you have is only temporary or the role you perform is beneath you. There are steps to success, and all of this is part of it. No matter what you do, do it right and do it well, with honesty, integrity, and purpose.
“Failure shows us the way, by showing us what isn’t the way.”
Failure isn’t a setback or punishment from the gods; it’s your compass. When we fail, it shows us what didn’t work, clearing away one option and revealing other possibilities that remain. Failure is knowledge disguised as defeat, and in the end, your failures will be part of your victory as proof that you never gave up in the face of difficulty.
“Remember that this moment is not your life, it’s just a moment in your life.”
Whether you’re down on luck or struggling, whether you’re constantly succeeding or winning, remember that these times will all pass. There is no moment of constant euphoria or misery in life. Do not be scared. Live, strive for greater heights; whatever comes our way, whether good or bad, we will always figure it out.
See you on Tuesday!
